Shamardal’s TDN Rising Star Emotionless Toasts Champagne Rivals

Having attained ‘TDN Rising Star’ status when demolishing rivals in a Newmarket maiden last month, Emotionless confirmed that initial promise with another bloodless victory in Saturday’s G2 Champagne S. at Doncaster. Making a better exit here than he had in that seven-furlong debut, the 8-13 favorite settled fourth before cruising up to the pacesetting Ibn Malik (Ire) (Raven’s Pass) approaching the final quarter mile and was sent clear once leading hard on the bridle passing the eighth pole to earn plaudits for a highly impressive 3 1/2-length score from that G2 Vintage S. runner-up, with Vintage S. third Palawan (GB) (Mount Nelson {GB}) simply outclassed a further seven lengths adrift.
